A NEW SEASON AT CYPRESS
INFORMATION AND UPDATES REGARDING THE LEAD PASTOR SUCCESSION PROCESS
Cypress is entering a new season in our beautiful story. Over the course of the next couple of years our Lead Pastor, Douglas Poole, will be transitioning from his role to one of a partner and mentor to our next Lead Pastor, then after a sabbatical will head our international work and eventually he and Jacque will join the rest of us as members of the Cypress Tribe.
Below you will find information on the journey we will take in this process, updates as they become available, and a place where you can inquire with any questions you may have as we move forward into a new season at Cypress.

Early 2022 - Search process is launched
Late Summer/Early Fall 2022 - Interviews completed, new pastor hired and begins working at Cypress as an associate pastor
Summer 2023 - Associate Pastor becomes the new Lead Pastor. Pastor Douglas takes a sabbatical
Late 2023 - Pastor Douglas returns to Cypress to lead our international ministry
Who makes the final decision on hiring a pastor?
The Search Team will recommend a person to the Elders Board who will make the final decision.
